School Safety

Playground Supervision

At KingsPark Primary we aim to provide a safe place for our pupils to play and to ensure that they conduct themselves in a well-disciplined way.

An adult presence is provided in playgrounds at break times in terms of the Schools (Safety and Supervision of Pupils) (Scotland) Regulations, 1990.

Security Entrances

All doors have been upgraded to ensure entrances can only be accessed by means of a coded security fob.

All visitors to school must enter by the main entrance which also has a security camera to enable identification.

All visitors must report to the school office and sign the Visitors’ Book.

Please do not park on the zig zag lines!

Pupil safety
Once again can I please appeal to the minority of drivers who are still inconsiderate parkers around our school to be more thoughtful and caring? Drivers continue to park on the street corners and on the pavements making it very dangerous for our children. There are several walking routes for our children and places where you can safely park to either drop off or then accompany your child into school. I appeal on behalf of us all. Our school is in a very congested area but if we are all considerate and park safely and drive slowly then our children will be safe.
Better still, whenever possible….. WALK TO SCHOOL. Thank you for your co-operation on this matter.
